Orange Cake - with detail photo and video recipe.Fragrant, moist, and sponge orange cake flavored with freshly squeezed orange juice and orange zest with a touch of chopped Nuts. Soft, Fluffy and Sponge orange cake is most of then favorite especially to the orange lovers during winters.

Orange cake with exact measurements to get the sponge and fluffy cake. For any cake to be perfect, cake mixing is one of the biggest procedure. Be patient and take time while mixing the cake only in the cut and fold method.

Orange is a fruit of citrus spices that had many health benefits. Nowadays orange juice is an integral part of a healthy breakfast as it contains a high amount of vitamin C as it helps to get free radicals that cause damage to our DNA. Oranges provide healthy immune systems, helps to control blood pressure and lowers cholesterol. Oranges are very good for the skin.

Ingredients:
  • Oranges - 2
  • Salted Butter - 100 g
  • Sugar - 180 g
  • All-Purpose Flour ( Maida ) - 180 g
  • Orange Zest - 1 1/2 Tbsps Or 2 Oranges Zest
  • Orange Juice - 1/2 Cup
  • Eggs - 5
  • Baking Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Baking Soda - 1/2 Tsp.
Orange Syrup Ingredients:
  • Orange Juice - 1/4th Cup
  • Sugar - 1/4th Cup
Preparation:
  • In a mixing bowl add salted butter and granulated sugar.
  • Beat the mixture to smooth, silky and whitish.
  • Then add egg yolks one by one while beating.
  • Beat well till it becomes very smooth and silky
  • Then add Orange zest and beat again.
  • Then sieve maida, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Mix well in the Cut and Fold method.
  • In between add orange juice and mix well.
  • In a bowl add cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, maida and mix well.
  • Add nuts into the batter and mix well.
  • Now beat the White eggs till it gets stiff peaks.
  • Add these egg white into the batter and mix.
  • Pour the batter into the coated cake tin, rotate and pat twice.
  • Put the tin into the preheated oven at 180c for about 50 Minutes.
  • After baking let the cake cool completely in the tin.
  • In meanwhile in pan add sugar and orange juice.
  • Mix well till the sugar dissolves and till it becomes one string syrup.
  • Then off the stove and brush the whole cake with the orange syrup.
  • After brushing the syrup to the cake, rest the cake for about 5 minutes and enjoy it.
