Peanut Chana Dal Paratha - with a detailed recipe of healthy and tasty paratha recipe. A wheat-based paratha stuffed with peanuts and chana dal is a nutritious breakfast that can energize your body and help you keep going for the day's activities.
For this recipe firstly soak peanuts and chana dal for about 20 minutes. Later pressure cook this soaked peanut and chana dal. Then blend these cooked peanuts and dal and stuff these peanut and dal masala mixture close and set center. Roll and flatten the paratha and roast with oil/ghee. Roast both sides and serve hot with raita or peanut chana dal raita.

Stuffing Ingredients:
- Peanuts - 50 g
- Chana Dal - 100 g
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 Tbsps.
- Coriander Seeds Powder - 1/2 Tbsp.
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 Tbsp.
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp.
- Water - 1 Cup
- Onion - 1
- Green Chillies - 1 Tbsp.
- Mint Leaves - 1/4th Cup
- Curry Leaves - 1/4th Cup
- Oil - 1 Tbsp.
- Salt - As Required.
Paratha Dough Ingredients:
- Wheat Flour - 2 Cups
- Salt - 1 Tsp.
- Water - As Required
- Oil - 1 Tbsp.
Peanut Dal Paratha Ingredients:
- Wheat Flour ( For Dusting )
- Oil / Ghee ( To Brush The Paratha While Cooking )
- In a bowl add peanuts and chana dal.
- Clean and soak for about 20 Minutes.
- When soaked for 20 minutes. Now add these soaked peanuts and dal in a pressure cooker and add along with red chili powder, coriander seeds powder, garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and water.
- Close and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
- When cool completely, blend smoothly and add green chilies, onion, mint leaves, and curry leaves and salt.
- Mix well and keep aside.
- In another bowl add wheat flour along with salt and oil.
- Add sufficient water and mix well.
- Mix well just like the chapati dough and rest for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, knead the dough again and take a small ball.
- Roll and flatten the dough into 5 inches.
- Now fill the stuffing with peanut and chana dal.
- Close the filling with dough and set it to the center.
- Now roll and flatten into a round.
- When rolled and flatten, put the paratha into the pan.
- Roast for about 1 minute, then flips over.
- Add oil or ghee and flip over.
- Brush oil both sides and roast both sides.
- When done serve hot with raita.
