Paneer Paratha Recipe | పనీర్ పరాటా | पनीर पराठा | Paratha Recipes | Special Desi Recipes


Paneer Paratha - with detailed photo recipe. A Paratha is a flatbread native to the Indian sub-continent and is a breakfast staple of North India. It is a layered flatbread made of wheat flour or refined flour( maida ), oil or ghee, salt, and water. These parathas can also be done with all-purpose flour and eggs know as Malabar parotta or Mughlai paratha. Paratha can either be plain or stuffed and roasted on a tawa with ghee or oil.
In this post am sharing stuffed paneer paratha made with whole wheat flour and homemade paneer, spices, and herbs. Paneer( Indian Cottage Cheese) is a good source of protein and is very common in Indian cuisines. This paneer paratha is done with fresh homemade paneer which tastes super, soft, and tasty than the store-bought paneer. Surely will share the recipe of homemade paneer in my coming post.

Coming today post paneer paratha is a tasty and delicious great food for the entire family and can also be served as finger food to toddlers. These parathas can also be served as a lunch box recipe. It is most often eaten with chutney, raita, plain yogurt, pickle, and sometimes with curry. But here in this post am sharing raita done with curd, chili powder, and chaat masala which tastes super with this paneer paratha.

Ingredients:

Paneer Stuffing Ingredients:


  • Paneer - 200 g
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Curry Leaves - Few
  • Finely Chopped Mint Leaves - 1 Bunch
  • Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves - 1 Bunch
  • Kasoori Methi - 1/2 Tbsp.
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tbsp.
  • Salt - 1 Tsp Or As Required
  • Chaat Masala -1 Tsp.
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp.
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp
  • Onion - 1 Big
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 Tbsp.

Dough Ingredients:

  • Whole Wheat Flour - 3 Cups
  • Salt - 1 Tsp.
  • Oil - 2 Tbsps.
  • Water - As Required

Preparation:

Paneer Stuffing Preparation:

  • In a bowl add grated paneer along with all the ingredients like mint leaves, coriander leaves, kasoori methi, onions, green chilies, red chilies, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, chaat masala, garam masala powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste and curry leaves.
  • Mix well and make ball size stuffing to fill.

Dough Preparation:

  • In a bowl add whole wheat flour along with salt and oil.
  • Mix well then add water as required.
  • Mix well and make a dough just like the chapati dough.
  • After mixing, rest the dough for about 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, the dough is super soft. knead the dough again and take a ball size dough.

Preparing The Paneer Paratha Recipe:

  • Take the ball size chapati dough.
  • Roll and flatten the dough by dusting the wheat flour.
  • Now put the ball size paneer mixture and put mixture in between the dough and seal the dough by pleating the dough.
  • Set the mixture to the center.
  • Again roll and flatten the dough by dusting the wheat flour.
  • Roll till slightly thick.
  • When done place the paratha on the hot pan and cook for 1 minute.
  • Flip over the paratha and cook for 1 minute.
  • Again flip over and brush oil or ghee.
  • Flip over and brush oil on two sides.
  • Cook well and serve with raita.

  • In a bowl add 1 cup of curd along with red chili powder, salt, chaat masala, and coriander leaves.
  • Mix well and serve with paneer paratha.
