Sabudana Before Cooking. Soaking Time Depends On Sabudana (tapioca pearls).Dry
Roast Peanuts Before Cooking And Coarsely Blend And Keep Aside.
Note:
Don’t Over Blend Peanuts To Fine Powder.
Ingredients:
- Sabudana ( Sago ) – 150 g
- Potatoes – 150 g (2 Medium Size )
- Peanuts (Palli) – 50 g
- Mustard Seeds – 1 Tsp.
- Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 Tsp.
- Green Chillies – 3 Chopped
- Red Chillies – 2
- Ginger – 1 Tbsp. Chopped
- Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp
- Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp.
- Cumin Powder – ½ Tsp.
- Garam Masala Powder – 1 Tsp.
- Sendha Namak ( Rock Salt ) – As Required
- Coriander Leaves
- Hing (Asafoetida)
Preparation:
- Soak The Sabudana For About 30 Minutes Till It Becomes Soft.
- Note : Soaking Time Depends On Sabudana.
- Dry Roast Peanuts Till It Become Light Brown Colour .
- When It Become Cool, Remove Skin And Coarsely Blend Peanuts.
- Note : Don’t Over Blend Peanuts i.e Not Into Fine Powder.
- Now In Pan Add Oil.
- Add Mustard And Cumin Seeds.
- When The Seeds Splutter, Add Green And Red Chillies And Saute Well.
- When Green Chillies Are Cooked Add Curry Leaves And Chopped Ginger.
- Cook Till Ginger Leaves Nice Aroma.
- Then Add Hing, Turmeric Powder And Potatoes And Mix Well.
- Add Salt Or Sendha Namak And Mix Well
- Close And Cook Till Potatoes Becomes Soft.
- When Potatoes Are Soft, Add Tomatoes, Red Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Cumin Powder, Garam Masala Powder And mix Well.
- Now Again Close And Cook Till Tomatoes Becomes Soft And Mushy
- When Oil Releases Add Soaked Sabudana And Mix Well.
- Again Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes.
- When Sabudana Releases Oil, Add Crushed / Coarsely Blended Peanuts And Mix Well.
- Cook Till Water Evaporates Then Add Coriander Leaves And Mix Well.
- That’s It Sabudana Khichdi ( no onion, no garlic ) Is Ready To Serve.
