Kodo Millet Pulao - with detail photo and video recipe. Kodo millet pulao is one of the delicious one-pot meal, which is easy and nutritious. One can make millet pulao with any of the millet like Kodo, proso, barnyard, and Korra except the little millet because little millets have more moisture than any other millet.

Here in this post am sharing vegetable Kodo millet pulao also called as Kodra: Hindi; Varagu: Tamil; Arikelu: Telugu; Harka: Kannada. Kodo millets are rich in vitamin B, especially niacin, folic acid as well as the mineral like calcium, zinc, magnesium, and potassium. And Kodo millets are gluten-free and is good for people who are gluten intolerant.

To gain the nutrient value soak the millet in water for about 6 to 8 hours and cook just like the normal rice by adding 2 glasses of water. One can make this like rice and can have by adding different curries into it instead of doing any pulao, kichadi or upma. In this recipe, I used Mixed veggies like potatoes, carrot, beans and frozen peas. Instead of these veggies one can add there own liked vegetables to make more healthy and tasty.

For this recipe, soak the millet in water for about 6 to 8 or overnight. And soak the frozen peas overnight, if you are using fresh batani( peas ) it's well and good. Add your desired veggies and enjoy the healthy millet pulao.
