The main ingredient in cabbage dal is cabbage. As we all know cabbage is a diet leafy vegetable and an excellent source of vitamin C, K, and A. It is one of the leafy vegetables rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. This healthy vegetable is said to come in different colors such as purple, red, white, and green. And the other main ingredient is moong dal. It is also known as a weight loss diet ingredient. It is considered a healthy weight loss food as it is low-fat food rich in proteins and fiber.
For this recipe, firstly clean the cabbage from insects and impurities and then soak the cabbage in salt water for about 10 minutes. Then clean and wash the moong dal and then add to the pressure cooker along with tomatoes, green chilies, onions, and spices. The pressure-cooked cabbage dal itself is tastes good. But adding to tempering into the cabbage dal, gives a different and distinct aroma and flavor to the recipe.
