Roasted Bell Pepper Chicken | Special Desi Recipes
A fried chicken recipe which is full of aromatic flavours and spices. Roasted bell pepper chicken is a flavourful dish that combines succulent chicken with the rich, smoky taste of roasted bell peppers. The preparation typically involves marinating the chicken pieces with a blend of spices and herbs.
Bell pepper and onion are roasted until their skin is charred, peeled, and then added to the dish, imparting a sweet and smoky flavour.
To make roasted bell pepper chicken, the chicken is marinated with marinating ingredients along with roasted bell pepper and onion paste. The mixture is then baked or cooked on the stove till it releases an aroma or it becomes perfect fry and dry.
The result is a harmonious blend of tender chicken infused with the savoury essence of the peppers. This dish can be served with various side dishes such as rice, roti, dosa, or a medley of roasted vegetables, creating a well-balanced and satisfying meal.

Chicken Marination Ingredients:
- Chicken - 475 g
- Salt - 1 Tsp.
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Tsp.
- Black Pepper Powder 1/2 Tsp.
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tbsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 Tbsp.
Roasting Ingredients:
- Red Bell Pepper - 1
- Onion - 1
- Garlic - 1 bulb
- Vinegar - 1 Tbsp.
- Soya Sauce - 1 Tbsp.
- Salt - 1 Tsp.
Cooking Preparation:
- Mustard Oil - 2 Tbsps.
- Oil - 3 Tbsps.
- Green Chillies - 10
- Kasurimethi - 1 tbsp.
- Curry Leaves - Few
- Coriander Leaves - Few
Preparation:
- Firstly clean and soak the chicken in salt water for about 20 minutes.
- Then add salt, chilli powder, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Marinate the chicken for about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- On a grill Jal add red bell pepper and onion and roast well.
- Shift the onion and bell pepper into the bowl close and rest for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes remove the skin and clean the bell pepper and onion well.
- Chop the onion and bell pepper by removing the seeds of the bell pepper.
- Now blend the chopped onion and bell pepper along with garlic, vinegar, soya sauce and salt.
- Blend the ingredients to fine paste and then add this mixture to the marinated chicken and mix well.
- In a pan add mustard oil along with cooking oil and then add marinated chicken into the oil.
- Cook for about 2 minutes and mix well.
- When the chicken changes colour and releases water.
- Close and cook for about 10 minutes by stirring in between.
- When Chicken releases oil, add green chillies, and curry leaves along with kasurimethi and mix well.
- Roast well till it becomes perfect fry and dry.
- Finally, add coriander leaves and mix well.
