Vangi Bath Masala Ingredients:
- Oil- 1 Tbsp.
- Urad Dal - 1 Tbsp.
- Chana Dal - 1 Tbsp.
- Dry Coconut - 14th Cup
- Dry Red Chillies - 4
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Cloves - 5
- Cinnamon - 1 Inch
- Cardamom - 3
- Poppy Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Coriander Seeds - 1 Tbsp.
- Sesame Seeds - 1 1/2 Tbsp.
- Oil - 4 Tbsps.
- Chana Dal - 1 Tbsp.
- Urad Dal - 1 Tbsp.
- Peanuts - 2 Tbsps.
- Onion - 1
- Green Chillies - 3
- Curry Leaves
- Salt - As Required
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4th Tsp.
- Brinjals - 5 or 300 g
- Tamarind Juice - 3/4th Cup
- Fenugreek Powder - 1/4th Tsp.
- Cooked Rice - 5 Cups.
Preparation
- In a pan add oil, then add urad dal, chana dal, dry coconut, and saute well.
- When dal releases an aroma, add dry red chilies, cumin seeds, Cloves, Cinnamon, Cardamom, and poppy seeds.
- Mix well and saute on low flame.
- At last add coriander seeds and sesame seeds and saute well till the seeds splutter.
- Keep it aside till it becomes cool.
- When the mixture becomes cool add to blender and blend.
- In Another pan add oil along with chana dal, urad dal, and peanuts and saute well.
- When the dal releases an aroma, add onions, green chilies and curry leaves.
- Saute well till the onions changes colour.
- Then add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Saute well till it releases aroma then add chopped brinjals.
- Saute for about 1 minute, then add the masala.
- Mix well then close and cook for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, mix and add tamarind juice.
- Mix well and saute for about 5 minutes.
- Then add fengreek powder and cooked rice.
- Mix well and close and cook for about 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, finally, add coriander leaves and serve hot.
