Methi Lobia | Methi Bobbarlu | Cowpeas Curry

Methi / Fenugreek Leaves Used In This Curry Along With Lobia Helps To Regulate Our Blood Sugar Levels And Help Us Stay Away From Diabetes Mellitus.



Ingredients:

  • Cowpeas/Lobia/Bobbarlu/Black Eyed Beans/ Chawli
  • Green Chillies – 4 Chopped
  • Onions – 1 Big Chopped
  • Tomatoes – 3 Big Chopped
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 Tbsp
  • Jeera Powder -  1 Tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Fenugreek Leaves / Menthi Kura – 3 Bunch/1 Big Bowl
  • Curry Leaves
  • Oil
  • Mustard Seeds
  • Jeera(Cumin) Seeds

Preparation

  • Add Oil To The Pan & Add Mustard Seeds 

  • Cumin(Jeera) Seeds.

  • Then Add Chopped Green Chillies and Saute .

  • Add Chopped Onions With Salt and Saute till Onions Becomes Golden Brown Colour.



  • Add Curry Leaves And Mix .

  • Then Add Ginger Garlic Paste And Saute Till Raw Smell Leaves.

  • Add Turmeric Powder.

  • Add Cleaned Fenugreek Leaves (  Methi Kura) And Saute Till Leaves Become Soft And Till Oil Releases.


  • When Oil Releases At Side Add Chopped Tomatoes And Red Chilli Powder and Mix Well


  • Cook Till Tomatoes Become Soft.

  • Cook Till Oil Release


  • Add Jeera Powder,Garam Masala Powder & Coriander Powder.

  • The Add Pressure Cooked Lobia( Cowpeas/ bobbarlu) Mix and Cook For Some More Time

  • If Needed Add Some Water Depends on Consistency.
