Lobia Fritters/Vada Is Also Know As Bobbarlu In Telugu & Alasanda In Kannada. Lobia Is Well Know As A Healthy Food With High In Protein, Low In Fat And Rich In Fibre. Lobia Is Also Called As Cow Peas Is A Certain Type Of Bean With Many Vitamins And Minerals. It Has Many Benefits For Skin, Hair And For Health

Lobia Vada / Bobbarla Vadalu Is A Snack Item Done With Some Spice Mix And Chopped Onion Flavour. Soak Lobia Before 5 Hours Or Overnight. I did with 1 ½ Cups of Lobia .After 5 Hours Divide lobia ½ Cup And 1 Cup. This Is Done Because 1 Cup Lobia Is Blended To Coarsely Not The Smooth Paste. This Will Give some Beans While Chewing / Eating Lobia Vada.

 As It Was the Season for Lobia, Eat More And Gain Good Health.Cool Climate, Hot and Crispy Vada Aww It’s a superb Combination.
Finally I Would Like To Highlight Some Of My Snack Recipes like Coconut Scrap Fritters , Vegetable Manchurian Dry , Chapathi Chatpat , Corn Vada .



Ingredients:

  • Lobia / Bobbarlu – 1 ½ Cups
  • Green Chillies – 6 Chopped
  • Shahijeera – 1 ½ tsp
  • Coriander Seeds – 1 ½ Tbsp.
  • Cumin ( Jeera) – 1 Tsp
  • Cloves – 8 to 10
  • Coriander Leaves – ½ Cup
  • Curry Leaves – ¼ Cup
  • Onions – 3 Chopped
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tbsp.
  • Salt – As Required
  • Oil – For Deep Fry

Preparation:

  • Clean & Soak 1 ½ Cups Lobia In Water For About 5 Hours / Overnight.Soaking Lobia In Water Will Increase The Size Of Lobia And gives Soft Beans.
  • Divide The Soaked Lobia Into ½ Cup And 1 Cup
  • In ½ Cup Lobia Add Green Chillies
  • Coriander Seeds, Shahijeera, Jeera & Cloves
  • Blend The ½ Cup Lobia With Ingredients to Smooth Paste.
  • Blend 1 Cup Lobia Into Coarsely, Not Into Smooth Paste.
  • Mix Smooth Paste Lobia And Coarsely Blend Lobia .
  • Add Coriander Leaves, Chopped Onions, Ginger Garlic Paste & Salt
  • Mix Well
  • Now Take Small Mixture, Round To Ball.
  • Press And Flatten The Mixture.
  • Deep Fry The Lobia Vada into Brown Colour.
  • Serve Hot With Lemon and Onions.

Preparation:

  • Divide The Soaked Lobia Into ½ Cup And 1 Cup

  • In ½ Cup Lobia Add Green Chillies

  • Coriander Seeds, Shahijeera, Jeera & Cloves




  • Blend The ½ Cup Lobia With Ingredients to Smooth Paste.

  • Blend 1 Cup Lobia Into Coarsely, Not Into Smooth Paste.

  • Mix Smooth Paste Lobia And Coarsely Blend Lobia .

Coarsely Blended

  • Add Coriander Leaves, Chopped Onions, Ginger Garlic Paste & Salt






  • Mix Well

  • Now Take Small Mixture, Round To Ball.

  • Press And Flatten The Mixture.

  • Deep Fry The Lobia Vada into Brown Colour.



  • Serve Hot With Lemon and Onions.

Note : 

  • Soak Lobia Before 5 Hours or Overnight
  • Coarsely Blend Lobia And Check If Every Lobia Skin Is Removed
  • Spices Like Green Chillies And Cloves As Per Your Taste.
  • If Cant Make Small Ball On Hand Use Plastic Cover For Doing.
  • Slowly Put Lobia Into Oil.
  • If Needed Rub Your Palm With Water/Oil.
