Mushroom Masala

Instead Of Getting Vitamins And Minerals In Diet With Variety Of Fruits And Vegetables…Try This Mushroom Gravy With Equal Nutrients. Easy Curry Done with Tomato Puree and Masala’s That Is Simple to Make and Tastes Delicious.

Use Of Besan / Gram Flour In Curry Makes The Gravy Thick And Even tastes Good. Instead Of Gram Flour Can use Kaaju/Cashew Paste





Ingredients:

  • Mushrooms – 250grams
  • Green Chillies – 4 Chopped
  • Onion – 1 Big Chopped
  • Curry Leaves
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tbsp.
  • Boiled Tomato Puree – 4
  • Roasted Besan – 1 Tbsp.
  • Coriander Powder – 1 ½ tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Jeera Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Oil
  • Salt -  As Required
  • Mustard Seeds – 1Tsp
  • Jeera(Cumin) Seeds – 1 Tsp

Preparation:

  • In Pan Add Oil And Add Mustard & Jeera Seeds.
  • Then Add Chopped Green Chillies And Saute for 1 Min
  • The Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Saute Till Onion Turn Light Brown Colour.
  • When Onions Changes Colour Add Curry Leaves
  • Later Add Ginger Garlic Paste And Saute Till Raw Smell Leaves
  • Then Add Turmeric Powder And Mix Well
  • Add Boiled Tomato Puree.
  • Note: In Pan Add Tomatoes With Water And Cook Till Skin Leaves The Tomatoes. Remove The Skin And Blend The Tomatoes To puree.
  • Add Red Chilli Powder And Mix Well .
  • Cover And Cook For 5mins.
  • Then Add Roasted Besan /Gram Flour,Coriander Powder, Garam Masala Powder And Jeera Powder and Mix Well.
  • When Every Thing Is Cooked Finely Add Boiled Mushrooms(Can Add Mushrooms Without Boiling) And Mix Well
  • Check The Consistency And Add Suffient Water And Mix
  • Finally Add Chopped Coriander Leaves And Mix.
  • Mushroom Masala Curry Is Ready to Serve.
  • Serve Hot With Either Plain Rice/Flavoured Rice/Chapathi/Roti.

Step By Step Procedure With Pictures:


  • In Pan Add Oil

  •  Add Mustard & Jeera Seeds.


  • Then Add Chopped Green Chillies And Saute for 1 Min

  • The Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Saute Till Onion Turn Light Brown Colour.


  • When Onions Changes Colour Add Curry Leaves

  • Later Add Ginger Garlic Paste And Saute Till Raw Smell Leaves

  • Then Add Turmeric Powder And Mix Well

  • Add Boiled Tomato Puree.


Note: In Pan Add Tomatoes With Water And Cook Till Skin Leaves The Tomatoes. Remove The Skin And Blend The Tomatoes To puree.

  • Add Red Chilli Powder And Mix Well .

  • Cover And Cook For 5mins.

  • Then Add Roasted Besan /Gram Flour,Coriander Powder, Garam Masala Powder And Jeera Powder and Mix Well.




  • When Every Thing Is Cooked Finely Add Boiled Mushrooms(Can Add Mushrooms Without Boiling) And Mix Well


  • Check The Consistency And Add Suffient Water And Mix


  • Finally Add Chopped Coriander Leaves And Mix.

  • Mushroom Masala Curry Is Ready to Serve.

  • Serve Hot With Either Plain Rice/Flavoured Rice/Chapathi/Roti.

Note: 


  • Before Cooking Put Tomatoes In Hot Water And Boil Till Skin Leaves The Tomatoes. Remove Skin And Blend The Tomatoes Into Fine Paste (Tomato Puree ) Which I Used In Recipe. 
  • I Boiled Mushrooms Before Cooking To Make My Recipe Fast.
  • Can Use The Mushroom Directly Without Boiling. 
  • Use All Spices Like RedChilli Powder And Garam Masala Powder As Per Your Taste. 
  • Roast Besan (Gram Flour) Before Cooking. 
  • Can Use Cashew Paste,Instead Of Besan(Gram Flour) .
