Dhaba Style Chicken Curry – Is One Of The Spicy, Hot And Easy Chicken Curry Done At Home. Why To Stop On Highway For This Recipe, Try At Home, At Your Comfort Place And Enjoy With Family.

This Dhaba Style Chicken Curry Done With Curd And Roasted Gram Flour. Dhaba People Will Cook Everything Very Well. In My Recipes I Used Curd, Cook Curd Very Well Till It Releases Oil. In The Same Way Cook Tomatoes Very Well Till It Releases Oil Then Add Chicken.

After Adding Chicken Put On Medium Flame And Cook For 10 Minutes Without Opening Then Add Few Masalas And Again Close And Cook Till The Chicken Is Done.

When The Chicken Was Done We Added Few More Spices As Well As Roasted Gram Flour.The Roasted Gram Flour Is The Secret Ingredients of Dhaba People. This Will Give Thickness To The Gravy As Well As The Taste.

This Recipes Goes Well With Roti, Naan, Chapathi, Rice or Flavored Rice.Finally I Want To Highlight Some Of My Chicken Recipes Like




Ingredients:

Marinate Ingredients:

  • Chicken – 500g
  • Red Chilli Powder – 2 Tbsps.
  • Salt – As Required
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 ½ Tbsps.
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp.
  • Oil – 1 Tbsp.
  • Lemon Juice – 1 Lemon (1 Tbsp.)

Main Ingredients:

  • Bay Leaves- 2 or 3
  • Cloves – 3
  • Cardamom (Elaichi ) – 2
  • Cinnamon (Dalchini) – 1 Small Piece
  • Shahjeera – 1 Tsp.
  • RedChillies – 2
  • Green Chillies – 5 Chopped
  • Onions – 2 Chopped
  • Curry Leaves
  • Crushed Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tbsp.
  • Curd – 180g or 1 Cup
  • Tomatoes – 3 Big Chopped
  • Coriander Powder – 1 ½ Tsps.
  • Cumin ( Jeera ) Powder – 1 Tsp.
  • Kasoori Methi  - 1 Tbsp. Crushed
  • Garam Masala Powder – 2 Tsps.
  • Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Oil – 3 to 4 Tbsps.

Preparation:

  • First Clean Chicken.
  • Then Marinate The Chicken With Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Ginger Garlic Paste, Turmeric Powder, Oil And Lemon Juice.
  • Mix All Well And Refrigerate It For About 30 Minutes to 1 Hour.
  • In Pan Add Bay Leaves, Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Shahjeera & Red Chillies .
  • Add Oil And Add Green Chillies And Saute For About 1 Minute.
  • Then Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Cook Till Onions Becomes Light Brown Colour.
  • Then Add Curry Leaves & Crushed Ginger Garlic ( If 10g Ginger = 15g Garlic)
  • Note : Garlic Should Be More Then Ginger.
  • Then Saute Till Raw Smell Leaves.
  • Then Add Curd And Turmeric Powder And Mix Well.
  • Stir Constantly Till Curd Becomes Thick.
  • Cook Well Till Oil Releases.
  • Then Add Chopped Tomatoes And Mix Well.
  • Close And Cook Till Tomatoes Becomes Soft And Mushy.
  • When Tomatoes Becomes Soft And Mushy, Add Marinated Chicken And Mix Well.
  • Close And Cook For About 10 Minutes Without Opening Lid.
  • After 10 Minutes Open And Mix .Then Add Coriander Powder & Cumin ( Jeera ) powder and Mix Well.
  • Then Again Close And Cook Till Chicken Is Done.
  • When Chicken Is Cooked Completely Add Kasoori Methi, Roasted Gram Flour & Garam Masala Powder.
  • Mix All And Close The Lid And Cook For About 5 More Minutes.
  • Finally Add Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves And Mix Well.
  • That’s Its Dhaba Style Chicken Curry Is Ready To Serve.

Step By Step Procedure With Pictures


  • First Clean Chicken.

  • Then Marinate The Chicken With Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Ginger Garlic Paste, Turmeric Powder, Oil And Lemon Juice.







  • Mix All Well And Refrigerate It For About 30 Minutes to 1 Hour.

  • In Pan Add Bay Leaves, Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Shahjeera & Red Chillies .







  • Add Oil And Add Green Chillies And Saute For About 1 Minute.



  • Then Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Cook Till Onions Becomes Light Brown Colour.



  • Then Add Curry Leaves & Crushed Ginger Garlic ( If 10g Ginger = 15g Garlic)



Note : Garlic Should Be More Then Ginger.
  • Then Saute Till Raw Smell Leaves.
  • Then Add Curd And Turmeric Powder And Mix Well.




  • Stir Constantly Till Curd Becomes Thick.


  • Cook Well Till Oil Releases.

  • Then Add Chopped Tomatoes And Mix Well.


  • Close And Cook Till Tomatoes Becomes Soft And Mushy.


  • When Tomatoes Becomes Soft And Mushy, Add Marinated Chicken And Mix Well.



  • Close And Cook For About 10 Minutes Without Opening Lid.

  • After 10 Minutes Open And Mix .Then Add Water, Coriander Powder & Cumin ( Jeera ) powder and Mix Well.



  • Then Again Close And Cook Till Chicken Is Done.

  • When Chicken Is Cooked Completely Add Kasoori Methi, Roasted Gram Flour & Garam Masala Powder.




  • Mix All And Close The Lid And Cook For About 5 More Minutes.

  • Finally Add Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves And Mix Well.

  • All Spices Depends As per Your Taste
  • Cook Curd / Yogurt Very Well, Till It Releases Oil.
  • While Cooking Curd, If It Sprinkle Close And Cook On Low Flame.
  • Cook Tomatoes Very Well.
  • Without Opening Lid Cook Chicken On Medium Flame.
  • Cook Everything Very Well.
