One Can Enjoy This With Hot Steamed Rice Or With Soft Dosa, Idli. In This Recipe, I Extracted The Juice From Tamarind And Added. Fry All The Masala Ingredients And Blend To Fine Smooth Paste.

Ingredients:
Fish Masala Ingredients:
- Oil - 3 Tbsps.
- Dry Coconut - 25g
- Onions - 2 Chopped Medium Size
- Cloves - 5
- Cardamom - 2
- Cinnamon - 1 Inch
- Shahjeera - 1 Tsp.
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Coriander Seeds - 3 Tbsps.
- Fenugreek Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Poppy Seeds - 1 Tbsp.
- Sesame Seeds - 3 Tbsps.
Marinate Ingredients:
- Fish - 750 g
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp.
- Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Salt - As Required
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
Tamarind Juice Ingredients:
- Tamarind - 75 g
- Water - As Required
- Extracted Juice - 3 to 4 Cups
Fish Pulusu Ingredients:
- Oil - 5 Tbsps.
- Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Onions - 1 Big Chopped
- Green Chillies - 5
- Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
- Tomatoes - 3 Chopped
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 Tbsps.
- Coriander leaves
- Salt
Preparation:
- Soak Tamarind In Water 30 Minutes Before Cooking.
- Extract Juice From Soaked Tamarind And Keep Aside.
Fish Masala Preparation
- In Pan Add Oil.
- Add Dry Coconut And Saute 2 Minutes.
- Then Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Saute 2 Minutes.
- Then Add Cloves, Cardamom, Cinnamon, Shahjeera, Cumin Seeds, Fenugreek Seeds, Coriander Seeds And Saute Well.
- When It Releases Aroma Add Poppy Seeds And Sesame Seeds And Mix Well.
- Saute Till The Sesame Seeds Splutter.
- Then Remove And Keep Aside.
- When It Becomes Cool Add To Blender With Water And Blend To Smooth Paste.
- Add This Fish Masala To Tamarind Extract And Mix Well Without Any Lumps.
Marination:
- Clean Fish Very Well.
- Then Add Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Ginger Garlic Paste And Salt.
- Mix Well And Rest It For About 15 to 20 Minutes.
Cooking Fish Pulusu:
- In Pan Add Oil.( Add More Oil Then Mention If One Needed )
- Then Add Mustard Seeds.When Mustard Seeds Splutter, Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Mix Well.
- Saute Till Light Brown Colour Then Add Green Chillies And Saute 1 Minute.
- Then Add Curry leaves, Ginger Garlic Paste And Turmeric Powder And Mix Well.
- When Everything Is Cooked Well Add Tomatoes With Red Chilli Powder And Mix Well.
- Mix , Saute And Smash All The Tomatoes To Soft And Mushy.
- Then Add Mixed Tamarind Fish Masala , Curry Leaves And Mix Well.
- Bring To Boil On High Flame .
- Then Add Marinated Fish And Mix Well.
- Again Bring To Boil On High Flame.
- When The Stew Starts Boiling Reduce The Flame To Low.
- Now Close And Cook For About 20 Minutes.
- Thats Its After 20 Minutes Fish Cooks Well And Releases Oil.
- Fish Pulusu Or Spicy And Tangy Fish Stew Is Ready To Serve.
