Mirchi Masala | మిర్చి మసాలా | मिर्ची मसाला | Bajji Chilli Recipe | chili curry special desi recipes

Mirchi ka salan is a popular recipe that is served along with biryanis in many Indian restaurants and at functions.Salan is curry and Mirchi refers to chilies, and this recipe of salan is the perfect accompaniment to an aromatic, flavourful biryani. Mirchi ka salan is one of the spicy, tangy recipes usually done with roasted peanut or sesame gravy. Why always Mirchi ka salan with biryani? Try this recipe of Mirchi masala and I am sure you will never feel guilty that you had the wrong paired up with the biryani or bagara rice.

Here in this recipe, green chilies ( Bajji Chillies ) of less spice are the center part of this spicy dish bursting with flavors. And this not only can serve with biryani or bagara rice, this even goes well either with roti or even with dosa.

Of course, this is not the traditional Hyderabadi Mirchi ka salan but, trying different recipes with the less known health benefits of green chilies. As we all know green chilies are a popular condiment on Indian thalis and a perfect side dish ( Mirchi ka Salan )for Hyderabadi biryani. Green chilies are packed with a host of health benefits that it almost seems unbelievable.
Today's post is about Mirchi masala without adding the tamarind juice but just with onions and tomatoes. It is one of the spicy, tasty and recipe that goes well either with roti, dosa and even with plain rice. For this, I took Bajji Chillies of less spice, then poke the chilies with a knife or fork and saute with less oil along with salt. Another way is to slit the chili in the middle then saute with salt. Both the ways work the same but, poking the chilies will retain the shape of chilies as it is.

And for the gravy cook the onions and tomatoes till soft and mushy, then add chilies into it and cook for few minutes. That's it tasty Mirchi masala is ready to serve with rice.

Finally, I want to highlight some of my recipes like
