There Are Many Ways To Do The Recipe, Here Am Sharing Simple Yet Tasty Recipe of Mirchi Ka Salan Without Dry Coconut And Poppy Seeds.

This Is One Of The Spice Gravy Recipe Usually Served With Biryani. This Gravy Is Done By Blending Peanuts, Sesame Seeds, Poppy Seeds, And Dry Coconut. In order To Make The Recipe More Simple, Healthy And Tasty I Skipped Dry Coconut And Poppy Seeds.

Ingredients:


  • Green Chillies - 9
  • Oil - 4 Tbsps.

Masala Ingredients:

  • Dry Red Chillies - 5
  • Coriander Seeds  - 1 Tbsp.
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
  • Sesame Seeds - 2 Tbsps.
  • Peanuts - 1 Tbsp.
  • Tomatoes - 3 big 
  • Tamarind - 25 g

Mirchi Ka Salan Ingredients:

  • Shahjeera - 1 Tsp
  • Onion - 1 Big
  • Green Chillies - 3 Chopped
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Curry leaves
  • Kasoori Methi - 1Tsp.
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Water - 2 Cups

Preparation:

Frying Mirchi's:

  • In Pan Add Oil, then Add Mirchi With Salt.
  • Saute Well Till Blisters Appears.
  • Then Remove and Keep Aside

Masala Ingredients:

  • In The Same Pan, Add Dry Red Chillies, Peanuts.
  • Roast On Low Flame.
  • Then Add Coriander Seeds, Cumin Seeds & Sesame Seeds.
  • Roast On Low Flame.
  • When It Releases Aroma, Add Chopped Tomatoes And Tamarind.
  • Mix Well And Saute.
  • Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes Or Till Tomatoes Are Soft and Mushy.
  • Then Remove Add To Blender And Blend To Fine Smooth Paste.

Mirchi Ka Salan Preparation:

  • In Pan Add Oil, Then Add Shahjeera.
  • Then Add Chopped Onions With Salt And Saute Well.
  • When Onions Changes Colours Add Green Chillies, Curry Leaves And Mix Well.
  • Saute For About 2 Minutes.
  • Then Add Turmeric Powder And Ginger Garlic Paste.
  • Mix Well And Saute Till It Leaves Raw Smell.
  • Then Add Blended Masala Along With Water And Mix Well.
  • Bring it Boil, Then Add Garam Masala Powder And Kasoori Methi And Mix Well.
  • Finally Add Fried Mirchi And Mix Once.
  • Close And Simmer For About 10 Minutes.
  • After 10 Minutes It Releases oil.
  • Remove And Serve Hot With Biryanis.
