Saucy Chatpata Gobi – Is One Of The Unique Gobi Dish Done With BBQ Sauce Done At Home. Saucy Chatpata Gobi Is An Indio Chinese Fried Cauliflower. It Is The Result Of The Adaption Of Chinese Cooking And Seasoning To Suit Indian Taste.


In My Recipe I Firstly Prepare The BBQ Sauce Done With Capsicum, Onion, Tomatoes And Garlic. Usually In BBQ Sauce Paprika Is Used, Instead Of That I Tried Capsicum. Even The Raw Capsicum Tastes Superb.

I Fried Gobi Mixing With Rice Flour And Corn Flour, this Gave The Recipe Some Chatpata…Crispy Flavour. One Can Store this Sauce For 3 to 5 Days In Fridge. This Sauce Goes Well Even With Chicken.Finally I Want To Hightlight Some Of My Snack Recipes Like

And Some Of My Non Vegetarian Recipes Like



Sauce Ingredients:
  • Bell Pepper(Capsicum) – 1
  • Onion – 1
  • Tomatoes – 2
  • Garlic Cloves – 10
  • Soya Sauce – 1 Tbsp.
  • Vinegar – 1 Tbsp.
  • Salt – As Required
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 ½ Tsps.
  • Pepper Powder – 1 Tsp.
  • Coriander Powder – 1 Tsp.

Chatpata Gobi Ingredients:
  • Gobi (Cauliflower) – 250 grams
  • Hot Water
  • Rice Flour – 3 Tbsps.
  • Corn Flour – 2 Tbsps.
  • Salt – As Required
  • Red Chilli Powder – 1 ½ Tsp
  • Pepper Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1 Tsp

Saucy Chatpata Gobi Ingredients:
  • Garlic – 1 Tbsp. Chopped
  • Spring Onions – 1 Cup
  • Oil – 1 Tbsp.
  • Salt – As Required
  • Sauce – 2 Tbsps.

Sauce Preparation:
  • In Blender Add Capsicum, Onion, Garlic & Boiled Tomatoes (Skinless)
  • Blend To Fine Paste.
  • In Pan Add Oil.
  • Note: Add More Oil.
  • Then Add Blended Sauce And Cook For About 2 Minutes.
  • Add Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Coriander Powder and Pepper Powder.
  • Mix And Close and Cook For About 2 minutes.
  • Open And Add Soya Sauce And Vinegar.
  • Mix Well And Cook For About 3 Minutes.
  • Like BBQ Sauce ( Home Made ) Is Ready To Use.
  • Note: Can Store This Sauce For 3 – 5 Days In Fridge.

Chatpata Gobi Preparation:
  • In Bowl Add Rice Flour, Corn Flour, Salt, Pepper Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Ginger Garlic Paste & Turmeric Powder.
  • Mix Well Like Dosa Batter.
  • Now Remove Water From Gobi, And Add Gobi To This Batter And Mix Well.
  • Now In Pan Add Oil For Deep Fry.
  • Slowly Drop One By One Gobi Florets Into The Oil And Deep Fry Till Golden Brown Colour.
  • Remove In Paper Towel And Keep Aside.

Saucy Chatpata Gobi Preparation:
  • In Pan Add Oil
  • Add Chopped Garlic With Salt And Saute For 1 Minute.
  • Note : Add Salt Very Less As Sauce And Fried Gobi Contains Salt.
  • Add Chopped Spring Onions And Saute Well
  • Then Add Prepared Sauce And Mix Well.
  • Then Add Fried Gobi And Mix Well.
  • Add More Spring Onions For Taste.
  • Saucy Chatpata Gobi Is Ready..

Step By Step Method With Pictures:


Sauce Preparation:
  • In Blender Add Capsicum, Onion, Garlic & Boiled Tomatoes (Skinless)





  • Blend To Fine Paste.


  • In Pan Add Oil.

Note: Add More Oil.
  • Then Add Blended Sauce And Cook For About 2 Minutes.

  • Add Red Chilli Powder, Salt, Coriander Powder and Pepper Powder.




  • Add Water And Mix Well.


  • Mix And Close and Cook For About 2 minutes.

  • Open And Add Soya Sauce And Vinegar.



  • Mix Well And Cook For About 3 Minutes.


  • Like BBQ Sauce ( Home Made ) Is Ready To Use.


Note: Can Store This Sauce For 3 – 5 Days In Fridge.


Chatpata Gobi Preparation:
  • Firstly Clean Gobi And Separate Florets.

  • Add Hot Water To Gobi With Salt And Rest It For 10 Mins.



  • After 10 minutes Clean And Remove Water.

  • In Bowl Add Rice Flour, Corn Flour, Salt, Pepper Powder, Red Chilli Powder, Ginger Garlic Paste & Turmeric Powder.







  • Mix Well Like Dosa Batter.



  • Now Remove Water From Gobi, And Add Gobi To This Batter And Mix Well.


  • Now In Pan Add Oil For Deep Fry.

  • Slowly Drop One By One Gobi Florets Into The Oil And Deep Fry Till Golden Brown Colour.




  • Remove In Paper Towel And Keep Aside.

  • In Pan Add Oil

  • Add Chopped Garlic With Salt And Saute For 1 Minute.

Note : Add Salt Very Less As Sauce And Fried Gobi Contains Salt.
  • Add Chopped Spring Onions And Saute Well

  • Then Add Prepared Sauce And Mix Well.

  • Then Add Fried Gobi And Mix Well.


  • Add More Spring Onions For Taste.

Note:

  • Clean Gobi Remove Impurities.
  • Separate Florets From Gobi.
  • Soak Gobi In Hot Water Is Must.
  • dont over Cook Sauce.
