Kolhapuri Chicken Curry – Is One Of The Best, Tasty & Spicy Curry With Fresh Ground Masala.

In Kolhapuri Chicken All The Spices Are Dry Roasted And Blend To Fine Powder.Fry The Onions And Cook The Tomatoes Till It Become Soft And Blend To Smooth Paste.

We Blend Spicy Masala Powder By Adding Onions And Tomatoes To Smooth Paste. We Marinated The Chicken With This Smooth Paste Additionally Add Salt, Turmeric And Ginger Garlic Paste.



Kolhapuri Chicken Curry

Main Ingredient:
  • Chicken – 500 g

For Paste Ingredients:

  • Onions – 3 Big Chopped
  • Tomatoes – 4 Big Chopped
  • Dry Roast Ingredients:
  • Red Chillies – 6
  • Dry Coconut – 25 g
  • Cloves – 6
  • Cardamom – 2
  • Cinnamon – 1 Inch
  • Mace – 1 Inch
  • Nutmeg Powder – 1 Tsp
  • Shahjeera – 1½ Tsps.
  • Tempering Ingredients:
  • Oil – 1 Tbsp.
  • Dry Red Chillies – 1
  • Ginger Slices – 1 Tbsp.
  • Curry Leaves

Preparation:

  • Dry Roast All The Ingredients On Low Flame.
  • (Red Chillies, Dry Coconut, Cloves, cardamom, Cinnamon, Mace, Nutmeg Powder & Shahjeera.)
  • Remove On Plate And Rest It, Till It Becomes Cool .
  • Now In Same Pan Add Oil
  • Add Chopped Onions With Salt.
  • Saute Till Onions Turns Golden Brown Colour .
  • When Onions Are Brown Add Chopped Tomatoes.
  • Close & Cook Till Tomatoes Becomes Soft.
  • When Tomatoes Are Soft, Saute Till All The Water Evaporates.
  • Now Firstly Blend The Masalas To Fine Powder.
  • Then Add Onion, Tomatoes And Blend Again To Smooth Paste.
Marination:
  • Clean Chicken
  • Then Add Salt, Ginger Garlic Paste & Turmeric Powder.
  • In That Add Blended Smooth Paste And Mix Well.
  • Marinate & Rest It For About 1 Hour.
Cooking:
  • In Pan Add Mustard Oil.
  • Then Add Marinated Chicken And Cook On High Flame For About 2 Minutes.
  • Then Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes On Medium Flame.
  • Then Open And Mix Well.
  • Then Add Water And Mix.
  • Now Again Close And Cook Till The Chicken is Soft.
  • Mean While Prepare The Tempering. In Pan Add Oil, Red Chilli, Ginger Slices And Curry Leaves.
  • Saute This Till The Ginger Turns Light Brown Colour With Nice Aroma.
  • Add This Tempering To The Chicken.
  • Add Kasoori Methi And Mix Well.
  • Again Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes.
  • Chicken Is Soft and Cooked Well.
  • Finally Add Garam Masala Powder And Mix Well.
  • Cook Till Oil Releases Then Add Freshly Chopped Coriander Leaves.
  • That’s It Spicy Kolhapuri Chicken Is Ready.
  • Serve Hot Either With Roti Or With Rice.

Step By Step Procedure With Detail Photo Of Kolhapuri Chicken Curry

  • Then Add Marinated Chicken And Cook On High Flame For About 2 Minutes.


  • Then Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes On Medium Flame.

  • Then Open And Mix Well.
  • Then Add Water And Mix.


  • Now Again Close And Cook Till The Chicken is Soft.

  • Mean While Prepare The Tempering. In Pan Add Oil, Red Chilli, Ginger Slices And Curry Leaves.



  • Saute This Till The Ginger Turns Light Brown Colour With Nice Aroma.


  • Add This Tempering To The Chicken.

  • Add Kasoori Methi And Mix Well.

  • Again Close And Cook For About 5 Minutes.


  • Chicken Is Soft and Cooked Well.

  • Finally Add Garam Masala Powder And Mix Well.
