Chicken Pulao Is A Popular Dish Done With Basmati Rice And Chicken Cooked Together In A Seasoned Broth. It Is One Of The Simple Recipe Which Is Not Heavy Like Chicken Biryani. Easy To Prepare And Tasty.
Chicken Pulao Is Done In Different Ways Like By Adding Tomatoes Or By Adding Coconut Milk Instead Of Water. To Keep The Recipe Easy, Fast And Simple I Didn't Add Tomatoes And Coconut Milk. Adding Tomatoes Or Coconut Milk Gives Different Taste When Compared To Without Adding. All The Pulao Recipes Taste Superb With Only Single Item Chicken.
To Do Any Of The Chicken Recipe, Marination Is Must To Make The Chicken Soft, Moist And Juicy. Even To Make Chicken Pulao Chicken Marination Is Must For About 2 Hours. Before Doing Soak The Basmati Rice Is Water For About 20 Minutes.

Ingredients:
Marination Ingredients:
- Chicken - 250 g
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp.
- Salt - 1 /2 Tbsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
- Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Oil - 1 Tbsp.
- Lemon Juice - 1 Lemon Medium Size.
Rice Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice - 250 g
- Water - As Required To Soak
Masala Ingredients:
- Bay Leaves - 2
- Kapok Buds - 3
- Star Anise - 1
- Shahjeera - 1 Tsp.
- Cinnamon - 1 Inch
- Cardamom - 2
- Cloves - 5
- Black Peppercorns - 5
- Japtri / Javitri - 1 Tsp.
- Biryani Flower
Cooking Chicken Pulao Ingredients:
- Oil - 4 Tbsps.
- Onions - 2 Big
- Green Chillies - 4
- Curry Leaves
- Mint leaves - 2 Bunches Or 1 Cup
- Kasoori Methi - 1 Tbsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
- Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Marinated Chicken
- Water - 1 3/4th Water
- Ghee - 2 Tbsps ( Melted )
- Coriander Leaves
- Soaked Rice
Preparation:
Marination Preparation:
- Clean Chicken.
- Then In Bowl Add All the Marination Ingredients And Mix Well.
- Marinate And Refrigerate It For At least 1 Hour.
- Keep Aside.
- Soak The Basmati Rice In Water For About 20 Minutes.
Preparation:
- In Pan Add Oil.
- Then Add All The Masala Ingredients And Saute 1 Minute.
- Then Add Chopped Onions With Salt.
- Mix Well And Saute Till Onions Turns Light Brown Colour.
- Then Add Curry Leaves, Mint Leaves, And Kasoori Methi.
- Mix Well And Saute.
- When It Releases Nice Aroma, Add Ginger Garlic Paste And Turmeric Powder And Mix Well.
- Then Add Marinated Chicken And Mix Well.
- Saute For About 2 Minutes, Then Close And Cook For About 10 Minutes.
- Cook Chicken Till 80 Percent Is Done.
- Then Add Water And Bring To Boil.
- Adjust Salt And Add Ghee.
- Cook On High Flame, When Water Gets Boiled Add Soaked Basmati Rice ( Remove Water ) And Mix Well.
- Cook On High Flame Till Water Gets Boil.
- THen Close And Cook For ABout 5 Minutes.
- After 5 Minutes, Add Coriander Leaves And Mix Slowly.
- Again CLose And Simmer For About 15 Minutes Or till Rice Is Cooked Well.
- That's It Tasty Chicken Pulao Is Ready To Serve.

Note:
- Marinate The Chicken At least For 1 Hour.
- Soak The Basmati Rice 20 Minutes Before Cooking.
- Don't Over Cook Chicken Before Adding Water.
- Add 1/4th Less Water Than Usual i.e For 1 Cup Rice = 1 3/4th Water, Instead Of 2 Cups Water.
