Urad dal Wadiyan is one of the popular dishes. Wadiyan is made from sun-dried urad dal mixture into small drop form. Urad dal wadi is most commonly cooked with onions or even with tomato masala gravy, or it can even be combined with any other vegetable s or in pulao. This recipe also goes well either with roti or even with plain rice.
This is an awesome and tasty curry done with urad dal and salt. This wadi is usually prepared during summer. To make this urad dal wadi, we need just 2 ingredients i.e urad dal and salt. With this one can make urad dal wadi.

Ingredients:
Urad Dal Badi Ingredients:
- Urad Dal - 1 1/2 Cups
- Salt - As Required
Urad Dal Badi Ki Sabji Ingredients:
- Oil - 3 Tbsps.
- Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp.
- Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Tsp.
- Onions - 3 Big
- Green Chillies - 2
- Dry Red Chillies - 2
- Curry Leaves
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4th Tsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
- Tomatoes- 3
- Water - 1 Cup
- Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 Tbsp.
- Coriander Leaves
- Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp.
- Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 Tsp.
Preparation:
Urad Dal Badi Preparation:
- Clean and soak urad dal for about 6 to 8 hours
- Then remove water and add to blender along with salt.
- Blend to smooth paste.
- Drop small Badi on cotton cloth or butter paper or on the cover and sundry for about 2 days.
- After 2 days remove and store in an airtight container.
Urad Dal Badi Ki Sabji Preparation:
- In pan add oil then add mustard and cumin seeds.
- When the seeds splutter, add chopped onions along with green chilies and dry red chilies.
- Mix well and saute till it becomes light brown color.
- Then add curry leaves, kasoori methi, ginger garlic paste, and turmeric powder and mix well.
- When it releases aroma add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder and mix well,
- close and cook for about 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes add water and mix well.
- Again Close and cook for about 10 minutes.
- Finally, Add freshly chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve hot with hot plain rice or even with chapati, roti or naan.
