Capsicum Masala - Simple, easy, and spicy curry with dry coconut and sesame seeds.Absolutely delicious recipe of capsicum masala. They are different methods to prepare capsicum masala by adding different masala with different combinations like dry coconut and sesame seeds masala, dry coconut and peanut masala, onion, and dry coconut masala, onion masala, onion, and peanut masala.
Here in this recipe, I used dry coconut and sesame seeds masala. This dry coconut and sesame seeds give thick gravy and taste to the curry. Every masala ingredient in this recipe is roasted well on low flame until it releases an aroma.

Masala Ingredients:
- Dry Coconut - 50 g Or 1/2 Cup
- Coriander Seeds - 1 Tbsp.
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Cloves - 5
- Cardamom - 3
- Shahjeera - 1 Tsp.
- Cinnamon - 1 Inch
- Sesame Seeds - 3 Tbsps.
- Oil - 2 Tbsps.
Cooking Ingredients:
- Capsicum - 500 g
- Oil - 3 Tbsps.
- Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Green Chillies - 4
- Onions - 2
- Curry leaves
- Kasoori Methi - 1 Tbsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
- Tomatoes - 3
- Water - 2 Cups
- Turmeric Powder - 1/4th Tsp.
- Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp.
- Salt - 1 Tbsp.
- Coriander Leaves
Preparation:
- In a pan add oil, then add dry coconut and saute till the coconut slightly changes color.
- When the coconut changes color then add coriander seeds, cumin seeds, cloves, cardamom, shah jeera, cinnamon, and sesame seeds.
- Saute well and roast till the seeds splutter.
- Then remove and keep aside till the seeds become cool.
- When it becomes cool add to blender and blend to smooth powder.
- In another pan add oil, then add mustard seeds along with onions and salt.
- Saute well the onions changes color.
- Then add green chilies, curry leaves,ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, and kasoori methi and mix well.
- Saute well till it releases the aroma then add capsicum, tomatoes, and red chili powder.
- Mix well, close, and cook for about 5 minutes.
- After 5 minutes, add blended masala along with water and mix well.
- Again close and simmer for about 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes capsicum releases oil.
- Finally, add coriander leaves, mix well and serve hot with chapati, roti or naan or even with plain rice and enjoy.
