Toor Dal Spice Powder | కంది పొడి | तुअर दाल मसाला पाउडर | idli dosa powder | Special Desi Recipes

Most south Indian meals start with the taste of fiery dal powder or with any other spice powder. Though those some food cravings are easier to satisfy and tempt us to eat the rest of the meal. One of the standard fare at many Telugu restaurants is toor dal powder. Check out the link below for a flavourful, protein-packed, spice blend toor dal powder with a nice aromatic flavor and delicious to eat with a mix of plain rice and Ghee along with papad or omelet.

The standard chutney podi is done with urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, toor dal, roasted chana dal, grated coconut, dried red chilies, curry leaves, tamarind, salt, and cumin seeds. It is also seasoned with mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, turmeric, and crushed garlic with some oil. This powder can be made before and can be stored in the fridge for many days. Many of the south Indian restaurants serve idli/ dosa with this powder and ghee along with red chutney and coconut chutney.

The toor dal powder is one of the famous and popular powders. This powder serves as the multi-mix powder as it goes well with idli/ dosa, and can also be used for any fry curry topping and even it can be used to prepare quick and easy sambar with veggies.
Today's recipe is about toor dal spice powder. Easy and tasty powder done with toor dal, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, dry red chilies, garlic, and curry leaves.
