Malabar Spinach Curd Curry Specialdesirecipes

Healthy and fibrous Malabar spinach curd curry. It is also known as " bachali aaku perugu pachadi" one of the fit and heartwarming recipes with fresh nutritious greens. Check out the recipe below for the quick, tasty, and nutritious recipe.

Malabar Spinach is also known as Basella Alba / Basella Rubra. It has many different names like Vine Spinach, Red Vine Spinach, Creeping Spinach, Bachali Kura Etc. Basella Alba is a fast-growing leaf vegetable in the hot sun and humid climate.

These protein-rich, vibrant greens are very thick in texture. It is very easy to grow Malabar spinach at home with just a seed. We have creeping Malabar spinach which grows along the wire/thread with Green Leaves and a Red wine thick stem. Cooking fresh leaves right away from plants is a blessing.

Malabar spinach is high in Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron, and calcium. Another good reason to eat Malabar spinach is that it has a good amount of antioxidants, particularly beta carotene, and lutein, those naturally occurring chemicals that help keep your cells from aging.

There are many dishes with bachali kura. One of and most prepared dishes at our home is bachali Kura Pappu ( Malabar spinach tour dal ) and at some time we prepare Malabar spinach chutney, bajji, dry dal curry, and Malabar spinach curd curry. Whatever the dish is it tastes awesome.

Finally, I want to highlight some of my recipes with Malabar Spinach And the most popular and traditional dal recipe done with Malabar Spinach.

Bachali kura pappu is one of the traditional dal recipes done with Malabar spinach ( bachali kura ) and toor dal. It is an easy Indian recipe prepared with fresh green leaves and dal. This recipe goes well either with rice or roti and is loaded with protein
