A uniquely savory flavor and a dense, meaty texture of mushroom, of course, the perfect base for a vegetarian version of classic meat.Though it was once considered an exotic ingredient but is now became a new superfood. Mushrooms are an edible fungus that can provide several important nutrients. What's so super about them is a rich, low-calorie source of fiber, protein, antioxidants, and consider these as one of the few natural sources of Vitamin D. Very few recipes of this superfood but whatever the recipe is, it tastes super. Usually having these mushrooms in dry form gives more taste than the gravy since they are cooked in their own moisture without the addition of water.
Today, am sharing one of the delicious, simple, and hassle-free button mushrooms sauteed in Indian-style butter garlic tadka. Simple ingredients and easy recipe which goes within minutes. Butter garlic mushroom is one of the super tasty and delicious recipes that goes good with just anything- Rice, Roti, Inside a Sandwich Bread or wrap, Plain Rice, Fried Rice, Jeera Rice or alone itself.
Here in this recipe we added crushed pepper rather than the powdered one as it gives the mild spiciness while chewing. When am preparing this recipe, as it was the season of ripe red chilies, we added those instead of green chilies. These ripe red chilies also added some flavor of sweetness, spicy, and color to the recipe. The Colour of the recipe speaks louder and tempts us to eat this super tasty dish. If one doesn't have ripe red chilies can also add red bell pepper instead of green and can make the same dish with just the same taste.

Ingredients:
- Mushrooms - 200 g
- Butter - 2 Cubes
- Oil - 2 Tbsps.
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
- Onion - 1 Big
- Ripe Red Chillies - 2
- Finely Chopped Garlic - 3 Tbsps.
- Curry Leaves
- Crushed Pepper - 1 Tsp.
- Coriander Leaves
- Capsicum - 1 Big
- Tomato - 1 Big
Preparation:
- In the pan add butter along with oil and cumin seeds.
- Saute till the butter melts.
- Then add onions, ripe red chilies along with salt and mix well.
- Saute till it changes color.
- Then add curry leaves and chopped garlic and saute for about a minute till it releases aroma.
- Then add cleaned mushrooms, capsicum, and tomatoes.
- Mix for about 30 seconds.
- Close and cook for about 5 Minutes.
- After 5 minutes mushroom releases water.
- Mix well and again close and cook for about 15 minutes.
- After 15 minutes, mushrooms are cooked well.
- Finally, add crushed pepper and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve hot with roti, naan, Jeera rice, and plain rice accompanied with tomato charu.
