Kobichi vadi is a popular snack recipe done with steamed cabbage sauteed with sesame tempering. Just the same way today, this post is all about steamed cauliflower fritters sauteed with sesame tempering. As we constantly search for a healthy breakfast yet tasty and delicious. This steamed gobi fritter is perfect to fulfill our search.

These gobi fritters can be used not only as snacks but also for a curry. One recipe in many ways. These fritters can be used in onions masala as well as in tomato gravy. One can make semi gravy or full gravy or fry with these fritters.

Cauliflower is considered as the weight loss diet vegetable because it is low in calories, rich in fiber, and has high water content.Cauliflower( gobi) is a very versatile and nutritious vegetable. Many recipes with gobi, like cauliflower rice, cauliflower pizza base, cauliflower cookies, etc. It is one of the low carb and great vegetables.

For this recipe, the main ingredient is cauliflower ( gobi ). Before soaking the gobi in hot water clean the gobi very well to remove impurities as well as insects.After cleaning the gobi soak the gobi in hot water for about 10 minutes. Then remove the gobi from water and blend or grate the gobi. Take the minced gobi mixed along with masala and steam it for about 10 minutes. Enjoy the gobi fritters as it is without tempering or with tempering. Any way goes well. Here in this post, we added tadka along with sesame seeds to the gobi fritters to make the recipes very tasty and delicious.

Ingredients:
  • Gobi - 430 g
  • Besan - 1 Cup
  • Rice Flour - 1/4th Cup
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tbsp.
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4th Tsp.
  • Salt - As Required
  • Coriander Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Tbsp.
Tempering Ingredients:

  • Oil - 3 Tbsps.
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 Tsp.
  • Green Chillies - 2
  • Curry Leaves
  • Sesame Seeds - 1 1/2 Tbsps.
  • Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp.
  • Black Salt - 1/2 Tsp.
Preparation:
  • In the bowl add cleaned cauliflower, then add hot water along with salt.
  • Mix well and rest for 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, remove water and grate.
  • Take the minced gobi into the bowl and then add red chili powder, salt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and garam masala powder and mix well.
  • Now the transfer the mixture into the greased bowl and steam well.
  • Steam the gobi mixture for about 10 minutes.
  • After 10 minutes, remove and chop into cubes.
  • In a pan add oil along with cumin seeds, green chili, curry leaves, black salt, and sesame seeds.
  • Mix well and saute well.
  • Saute till the seeds splutter, then add gobi cubes.
  • Mix well and saute till it changes color.
  • Serve hot as it is or along with chai as a snack or with curry and rasam as lunch.
