Mirchi Bajji is also called Mirapakaaya Bajji is one of the popular street food in a cool climate. This is one of the most loved snacks during the monsoon and popularly done snacks during Indian weddings or at functions.
Mirchi Bajji is of many types. Filling the Mirchi is purely our choice. Stuffing can be heavy or light. Heavy stuffing usually will be with paneer, aloo. cheese, Dry masala, or even with sesame seeds. And light stuffing it with lemon and salt, tamarind, and ajwain stuffing. And another one of the quick and easy stuffing is with homemade pickles like tamarind pickle, tomato pickle, ripe red chili pickle.
If you are in no mood to add any filling to your Bajji, then plain Mirchi Bajji can be our go-to snack. however, the chilies add some flavor to the Bajji. But, today's recipe is about Mirchi Bajji with simple, quick, and easy tamarind ajwain stuffing. This stuffing adds some tangy flavor to the Bajji along with ajwain aroma.
To make any Mirchi Bajji, the batter should be lightly thick i.e the batter should be in thick flowing consistency. To make the Bajji lightly crispy, add some rice flour to the besan. In this post, I added Jowar flour as I did this Bajji on Vrat day. Usually, people don't eat onion, garlic, and rice on Vrat days. Instead of rice flour, I added Jowar flour to make the Bajji crispy.
Finally, I want to highlight some of my snack recipes like,
